Following on from the announcement of Quincy Dodd as their first official signing, the Sharks have unveiled their 2023 NRLW jersey, complete with the backing of three major partners for the Club’s inaugural season in the elite level women’s competition.
Sharks CEO Dino Mezzatesta in announcing the corporate partnerships, spoke to the fact all three have shown great faith in women’s rugby league in an exciting time for the Cronulla club.
“There is a great deal of anticipation going into the NRLW competition and to have this kind of support from corporate partners is very much appreciated,” Mezzatesta said. “All three have been involved as Sharks sponsors, Aramex as our major jersey partner with the NRL, Minespec Parts and Shore Hire through our women’s teams and junior pathways and they’ve all recognised the commitment we have to the NRLW and to making an impact in our first season.
“The backing of these three companies is not only a great boost for the Club but also to the young women who will proudly wear the jersey when the season kicks off in July.”
Luke Geelan, Executive Chair at Shore Hire, described his reasoning behind increasing his sponsorship at the Sharks and for becoming involved in their first year competing at the NRLW level.
“As a long-time supporter of the women’s, men’s and juniors teams over the years it’s incredible to be a part of history with Cronulla’s first NRLW team,” Geelan said.
“We’re thrilled to be a jersey sponsor for the inaugural team and have absolutely no doubt that with the systems and coaching at Cronulla that the squad will come into the competition and be immediately competitive.
“We look forward to watching their successes not just this season but over the many years to come.”
The NRL will shortly release the NRLW 2023 season draw, with the Sharks looking to announce more significant playing signings in the weeks ahead.
