Problema
Shore Hire was contacted by a customer in Penrith who needed support with shoring during the completion of a critical drainage project. The job required upper and lower trench support with a maximum load limit of 60 kN.
The issue on this project was that the trench had varying heights and widths and so a variable shoring solution that could be stacked to create different heights as well as have struts that could be swapped out to create different widths was required.
Solução
To address the customer’s needs, we provided a selection of Shore 4m and Shore 3m steel trench boxes, as well as varying upper and lower extension units. These lightweight and easily assembled trench shoring boxes were installed using a mid-range excavator, and the customer was pleasantly surprised at how quick, and easy stacking and removing the upper units and struts was.
As a result of our solution, the customer was able to efficiently complete the pipe work on the project with minimal time spent on trench shoring installation and therefore maintain their tight deadline and keep their client happy; they’ve now picked up more work with their client and have continued to use Shore Hire on a number of projects due to our innovative equipment and world-class customer service.
