Check out some of Shore Hire’s most interesting projects with our recent project video showcases
HYDRAULIC SHORING – CANBERRA
Our biggest job in the ACT ever!
An engineered hydraulic shoring solution with over 600 sheets used throughout, Shore Hire were able to partner with Complex Co. to achieve some amazing results on this project.
Hear from Madison and Joel to learn more about this project, some of the challenges that were faced, and the services Shore Hire provided throughout.
Launch & Retrieval pits are our bread and butter at Shore Hire but while they may be a routine application for our people, there’s nothing simple about orchestrating jobs like this.
Using a tunnel boring machine to drill underground removes the need for long, deep trenches, but it also means that engineered and safely shored pits need to be placed at either end of the boring run for the machine to be lowered or retrieved.
This calls for high-capacity shoring systems, detailed engineering designs and a team of experts to coordinate everything behind the scenes so that when our big red truck turns up to site, you can rest easy knowing you’re in safe hands.
When a customer needed temporary propping support to be placed onto a barge and shipped up the coast, the Shore Hire team responded like we always do, with urgency, precision, and dedication.
By pre-building our propping towers in our Sydney yard, we saved the customer time and money on-site with the towers arriving assembled and ready to be placed on the barge straight away.
Turning our modular props into temporary support towers is becoming an increasingly popular application, and the fact that all our propping systems can be adapted to fit into each other means our expert engineers can always design a system to suit, no matter how heavy or dynamic the load is.
A large and uniquely shaped excavation called for an innovative shoring solution on this job. Shore Hire’s expert technical team created a detailed bracing design utilising the Shore Brace 400, Australia’s only Australian-made hydraulic bracing system.
Constant site visits and support for the customer led to a safely and efficiently delivered project.
When a customer came to us requiring a temporary retaining wall solution for their project, our engineers got to work.
By adapting a traditional King Post System and using driven I-Beams with shoring box panels spanning across them, we were able to create a fully safe, engineered solution.
A heritage-listed building with a delicate façade meant our customer needed a detailed and intricate propping design, so our engineering team created an efficient propping plan using a number of Shore Hire’s props which we also installed, check out the video to see the results.
A tier 1 client and an excavation with a very close-by water table meant a high-capacity and “neat” solution was required for this project.
Leaning on their years of experience and innovative products, the Shore Hire team created a design using the Shore Brace 400 and Shore Strut to great effect.
When it comes to shoring setups, the King Post system is one of the most unique solutions out there.
Utilising driven beams, shoring panels to span across them, and additional hydraulic bracing to make the excavation ultra-secure, this job in Queensland resulted in the incredible result you see in this video.
Our Temporary Work Engineers are innovators and love coming up with creative ways to solve problems for our clients.
By leveraging our world-class products, dedicated technical salespeople, expert product managers, and nationwide branch network, jobs that once seemed daunting to our customers are handled with care, urgency and expertise by the Shore Hire team.
While it’s an everyday practice across building sites, those who have ever installed props or built large-scale reinforced concrete retaining walls will know the effort, precision, and satisfaction that comes from an installation like this.
Our team of riggers work tirelessly day in and day out to problem solve and get things done for our customers, and this install we did in Ipswich is just another example of that.
When one of our major clients called us and said they needed to prop a 3-story car park that was having a concrete cut done to it to create a temporary lift shaft, our rigging team responded like they always do…
“2-minute noodle mate, consider it done”
From there, what the client doesn’t see are the countless hours, internal back and forth, concept engineering designs, product servicing, install plans, inductions and much more.
What they do see, though… Is a clean and tidy install done, exactly how they wanted it, and a project schedule that was met through Shore Hire’s solution focus and customer-first mindset.
One of the most satisfying parts of what we do at Shore Hire is when we get to use our products to retain old and heritage listed structures during renovations.
One this house renovation in Toorak, a combination of Acrow Props, Titan Props, and our Modular Systems were utilised to minimise impact to the existing structure, and to ensure the load was safely and economically propped.
Hear from Ryan, the Victorian Propping Manager, on how Shore Hire’s products, engineering, and install service helped the client on this recent project.
